INSPIRATION

The inspiration behind Wild Woolly Big Heads was to become the modern day taxidermist. To create a life size animal’s head that is totally eco-friendly, and sustainable which hurts no animals in the process.

Di takes her inspiration from these beautiful creatures and brings them into your home for you to enjoy and pass on as family heirlooms. Each Wild Woolly Head is made from 100% Australian and New Zealand wools that are dyed, blended, and manipulated to recreate these magnificent animals.

Each Wild Woolly Head is unique and original due to the natural fibres used. Woven into each animal is strong elements of art, colour, texture, form, and shape. They have a powerful presence in any home decor, but also are illuminated with a soft, playful personality.

Wild Woolly Big Heads are commissioned and individually custom created by Di.

Prices for Wild Woolly Big Heads start at A$450 and can go as high as $6,000 depending on the size, complexity and time involved. An important part of the order process is understanding your requirements. Di will speak with you at length on these custom designs to make sure every element desired is captured.
