Funky Felter’s Escape
This is a time to set aside from your busy life to focus on a project. Di will guide you with any of her kits, or her creations so that you can work at your own pace. Stay half day or a whole day. Join like minded people to escape, focus, and work on your projects. Needle felting is a technique that binds wool and other fibres together with a barbed needle. You can create 2D wool paintings or 3D sculptures at the Escape.
Half day Needle Felting Escape 9.30 am – 12 noon
Lunch 12 noon – 1 pm (bring your own)
Full Day Needle Felting Escape 1 pm – 3.30-pm
Tea and coffee provided
Location: Wild Woolly, Coorparoo Brisbane (address given in confirmation)
What will you do?
From any of the Wild Woolly kits or creations you will be guided on how to start, continue and finish the project. Make what you want without waiting for a workshop. Di has made all sorts of things so chose when you arrive at the workshop space. Escape artists will be guided to kits and creations that are at their level. Everyone will be working on something different, which is also a great way to pick up extra skills.
What Will I Make?
Wild Woolly has a variety of 3D sculptures and 2D wool painting kits that you can make. Please have a look on the website to see the Wool paintings that are available. Di has made lots of different things so you can request to make one of her creations; dogs, lion, elephant, giraffe, octopus, seahorse. This is face to face guidance, to help to build your skills. Items generally will NOT be finished in 1 session as a dog etc, can take 3-4 sessions to complete.
What to bring
Light refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits) are provided. Please bring a packed lunch for the full day workshop.
All tools and kits can be purchased on the day from Wild Woolly. However if you have Wild Woolly tools and kits that you have already purchased please bring them along.

Dates will be kept to the last or second last Thursday of the month.
