Wool Batts

These beautiful soft batt are high quality South Australian wool carded into a thick, fluffy sheet. This naturally coloured carded wool is produced from top quality, soft handling Corriedale and Merino type fleeces, which are colour sorted, gently scoured (washed), and then carded into large flat batts of uniform size and thickness.

These batts can be used for wet felting into garments, 2D wool picture felting or core wool for 3D armatures.  They are very handy to have in you wool supply and can be used for many different projects. Colours are; Natural white, fawn, light grey, light brown and chocolate coming straight from the sheep. The batts measure about 55cm x 60cm and around 100g. Due to coming in large sheets we try as much as possible to make each piece at least 100g. Due to thickness batts vary in measurements.

Please note that the wool is not chemically carbonised  so a little vegetable matter is to be expected. It is easily removed, or may be left to add natural character

The flock of 700 sheep has since been carefully bred and selected to produce excellent sheep with premium quality, soft fleeces.
