Here at Wild Woolly we know that some of you have a lovely stash of wool and fibres. Therefore the Emu tutorial is part of our range where you can use your own stash and just buy the tutorial, armature PDF and have a look at the list of materials. Please feel free to make your emu bigger by enlarging the PDF.
Use your own wool or add to it from the list below. All part of a new world of minimal living, buy what you need, use what you have, and add little by little to your stash.
NOTE: This emu can be make in a number of colour ways. I made one blue-grey, and the other blue-brown.
Material List
200g core wool
15g of each colour corriedale Wools – fog, grey slate, liquorice, natural white, natural light, natural medium, bubble gum
50g of maori wool – earth or fog
4 x 22 gauge armature wire
4 x 20 gauge armature wire
8 x chocolate pipe cleaners
Optional – speciality fibres in similar colours to above – tussah silk, english leicester, sara silk or whatever you have in your stash.
