However, you only need a little bit of a lot of colours, so we have put this sampler box together so you can add to your stash and create more realistic and unusual colour blending.

Build your wool stash with these wonderful sample boxes.  All Ashford wools are ethically sourced from New Zealand sheep that have not been mulesed, a procedure where the sheep is skinned around the tail. All sheep are pasture-fed by farmers that have a high standard of animal husbandry. All wools are carefully selected for their quality and sent to Ashford’s Mill in Milton, South Island, New Zealand to be dyed, carded and combed.

The wool is washed in an environmentally-friendly detergent called 6 mole. This detergent is biodegradable and breaks down quickly in the water leaving no residue. The wool is then dried and dyed under Oeko-Tex Standard 100. This standard is the most widely known standard for certification of ecologically-sa.
